I continue to come here as I like their food and lunch today was no exception, with a delicious thali and aloo gobi, but their customer service keeps... read more!
Review of 5th Element by Lou from Palm Coast
They have their buffet back and it's just as good as before. So many really delicious items to chose from... love the exotic flavors and their breads are to die for. Service was good but more lackluster than it used to be.

Awesome to have their buffet back again!! I had missed it so much. Food as good as ever with a wonderful variety of delicious dishes. Service spotty but I think they were newish. Only complaint is their cocktails are really not worth it! I think they need a dedicated bar tender. Lovely sitting outside in the square (triangle?) watching all the activity.

Service gone downhill lately. Ordered food for pick up and the guy handed it to me with it all falling out the bottom of a soggy paper bag! It was quite a large order and was all crammed into one paper bag and he expected me to carry it home like that! He seemed indignant when I asked for another bag and left me to re-pack it myself. Food did taste good though. Just needs much better customer service.

I do agree that the atmosphere isn't what it was even on the patio... way too open and lost it's charm. Service still top notch and food really delicious. Tandoor dishes are awesome and love the mixed tandoor with a bit of everything. Breads and accompaniments are all excellent. They just need to work on the patio area more.

Oh no what's happened here? Not what it used to be here! Staff very friendly but had to apologize for many things and seemed embarrassed. Prices high, portions smaller, and flavors just not how I remembered... it tastes like they've tamed down all the spices. No inside dining but patio open with full service. Patio decor has been removed and no longer has identity. Very disappointed as we loved this restaurant before and there are no other Indian choices in the area. I give it a generous 3 stars for this visit and I really hope this is just a slump and they bounce back again.

First time dining here since before the pandemic and sadly it wasn't the same at all. Staff were very good and attentive except the manager who just walks around looking surly and pissed off and was the only one who delivered one of our dishes without a word or nicety. There is no inside dining yet but you can dine with full service on the patio which we used to prefer anyway, but now they have removed all the awnings and plant boxes so there's no longer any barrier between the tables and the European Village courtyard and people walk by very close to you smoking, etc. This has also created a very benign atmosphere and no longer feels like an Indian restaurant. As for the food, prices seem to be about the same but portions have definitely gotten smaller and we were very disappointed in some of the dishes particularly the biryani which just tasted like very strong cinnamon rice and no other flavor. The the batter on the pakoras was very thick and hard and had little taste. Other dishes tasted OK but the food just didn't have that vibrancy and intensity it used to have. Seems like this restaurant has lost its passion and quite possibly a customer here as well.

Still no dine inside yet and they said they are now doing renovations to the dining room and will open soon. We took our food to Moonrise and ate it there with beers and it was a fantatsic meal. Only complaint is that it was messy and eating out of styrafoam containers with small utensils made it difficult.

Crazy delicious food. Ordered a big selection of dishes for when friends came over and everyone loved it all. It was so tasty I don't think a word was said until it was all gone LOL Even the vegetarian dishes were all gobbled up. It made the party and all were talking about it after. Great service for ordering and pick up.

Can't wait until they finish their dining room renovations so we can eat inside again. But have been ordering takeout and it's always so tasty and plentiful. Staff are friendly and appreciative. LOVE the mixed tandoori and fish masala.
Highlight of visit: Mixed tandoori and fish masala.

In my opinion there's no better restaurant in Palm Coast for food and service. The food here is so tasty and gets better with every bite. Staff are all very professional and help you choose what to order. Good outside dining area laid back no rushed atmosphere. Not pretentious, just excellent delicious food.

Service and food is consistently very good and really like the flavors. Great choices for vegetarians and even the younger kids liked it. Butter chicken is delicious and they do some excellent Indo Chinese dishes too. Staff are gracious with attention to detail. Highly recommend... it's one of our favorites in Palm Coast.

Very authentic food with incredible flavors. They make some superb dishes and the best are probably the least common ones. Their dosas and dal are excellent and I also lover the Kadai and Palak Paneer. Staff will guide you if you need help choosing and don't forget to try a dessert. Well worth the price and everything is well packaged for takeout.
Highlight of visit: I've ordered many dishes over the past year or so and haven't found one that I didn't like. They've all been excellent.

5th Element is one of my favorite restaurants and was visiting their Jacksonville location long before they opened in Palm Coast. I miss their buffet as it provided a good opportunity to sample many dishes, but their menu dishes are still very good and during the pandemic we have been ordering regularly. Staff always make recommendations and never had a bad dish yet. The location is nice and well worth trying for something different.

Not as good as it has been in the past with food cold especially the fried pakoras which had lost their crispiness and were very soggy. Korma didn't have as much spice or flavor as previously but the dal was still delicious. Maybe they had a different chef tonight? It's expensive which I understand is because of the cost of ingredients, which I don't usually mind as the food is excellent, but when it's sub par like tonight I feel a little ripped off. Service was still very polite.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Florida and we're lucky to have it here in Palm Coast. No dining in right now but IO order often through Uber Eats and the food always arrives hot an d fresh and tasting amazing. Don't know how they get those flavors but they're excellent. Some dishes are a little expensive but they're worth it considering the effort they must take to make them, plus the ingredients are not always exactly things you can find locally. Love it!

Got take out to try something different and loved every bite. We were unfamiliar with Indian food but the gentleman serving made recommendations and was very good at describing the dishes. The food is lovely and colorful and oh so flavorful. We can't wait to order again. Highly recommend this establishment.
Highlight of visit: All dishes were superb but my personal favorite was the Lamb Biryani - I can't describe how good it tasted.

Always delicious and one of Palm Coast's best restaurants. Takeout only still but you can sit on the patio and eat it. I usually get the Thali which gives you a variety of dishes plus naan bread and dessert. Staff are polite and will happily guide you if you're unfamiliar with Indian cuisine.

I miss their buffet as that was an excellent way to sample all their delicious food. However, we have still had some extremely tasty dishes here lately and we're always amazed how they get so much flavor. Nice menu with so many enticing choices and the servers are highly professional and courteous. I recommend their Thali for a great variety and their Biryanis are superb.
Highlight of visit: Chicken 65 Biryani is my favorite but so many delicious choices.

Ordered several items for pick up and staff very professional throughout the process. The food was a little mixed. The Mixed Veg Pakora was not very good... it was very oily and batter was hard and tasted of stale oil. However the Chicken 65 was delicious and the best dish. Paneer Tikaa and Shrimp Tandoori were also both very good. Takeout containers could be better as most broke.

My rating here is based on takeout as it really wasn't as good as all the times I've dined in. Staff still helpful and professional but the food just didn't taste the same. Maybe it's because of the styrofoam containers as apposed to nice brass pots, but we ordered a selection of dishes for the family and we all felt like they lacked the usual flavor. Even the naan was very chewy. Looking forward to when we can dine in again. I wish they could at least open the outside seating area.
