I wish I could remember his name but our server was fantastic and a real darling. It's OK inside but we decided to sit outside which was a big mistake... read more!
Review of Metro Diner by Olivia from Palm Coast
Had to wait about 20 mins for a table which was OK. Inside is noisy with a busy vibe. Breakfast choices are good and our food came out quite fast considering how busy it was. I liked seeing Huevos Rancheros on the menu so I ordered those but they weren't quite like what I expected or had before and more like nachos with an egg on top, but they did taste quite good. My wife had Biscuit & Sausage Gravy and said they were good but not any better than most other places. I will say our server was excellent and although busy she frequently checked in on us. I get that they are trying to get through all the customers in a timely manner but it does kind of show in the food.

Very good food and service. I sat outside which is often badly serviced at most restaurants but our server was super attentive and came back out to check on us often. Family of four and we all loved our breakfasts. Picky kids and fussy hubby were well satisfied and I really enjoyed my scramble bowl. Coffee is excellent too. The best for breakfast in Palm Coast!

Good dependable place for breakfast. Staff always friendly and it appears very clean. Food is tasty but can be a little heavy and greasy and doesn't always sit well with me. But wife and kids never complain LOL Avoid the water... always tastes funny! Expect a wait at peak times but usually goes by quite quickly.

Good basic diner and food is a step up from Denny's or iHOP but service not the best. Both times here our server was grouchy and had no time for us. Not vegan friendly even to the point of being ridiculed which pissed off one from our group. My Chicken & Waffle was ok but on the dry side and didn't have a lot of flavor. However the food on my previous visit for breakfast was much better. Booth needed wiping down too... very greasy!

The San Francisco Benedict was exceptional and server was courteous and efficient. Menu has a good variety and priced very reasonable. Not the nicest inside as it seemed very cluttered where we sat but was clean.

Don't quite get the attraction here. Found it not very clean... sat in booth and glass partitions very dirty. Server seemed too hurried to offer any quality of service. Food was average at best. Felt rushed. Nothing to come back for.

IMO the best place for breakfast in Palm Coast! Great selection and everything is so yummy. More than enough food on the plate and servers are the best! Clean ladies room and outside seating great. 5 stars!!

We visit most weekend for breakfast and always get great service and wonderful food. My daughters are fussy eaters but clean their plates here and my hard to satisfy husband always leaves with a full belly. My personal favorite is the Sausage and Gravy Chicken Waffle where they make the waffle from stuffing! Sooo delish! Servers are energetic and friendly and the atmosphere is like a lively diner.

Family and me just ate breakfast here and was very impressed. Had short wait for a table and server was cool. Big menu of items and everything we ate was delicious. Good sausage gravy and eggs cooked as I like. We will be back here again for sure.

Went for breakfast on Sunday and it was crowded as expected. After about 20 minutes we were seated but took a while for server to return. They have many things on the menu that sound good but I ended up ordering the Fried Chicken Benedict which was as its sounds, a very hearty breakfast! The Hollandaise is very good and eggs cooked right. Rest of family scoffed all of their meals and only real complains was that the coffee was not the greatest. Not to do with food but customers without masks getting very close to us was bothersome.

Good quality diner. Big menu and although not a place to visit of you're in a diet the food is plentiful and tastes great. Staff professional and friendly and atmosphere is busy. Quite nice to sit outside. Can be a wait in busy times.

I recommend you order for delivery only here! We ordered for pickup and the people outside were all sitting and gathering close together and there wasn't a very good system in place.Although it took a while the food was good and satisfying. I'll use their Doordash service next time.

Dined alone for lunch and sat at the counter which was quite fun and retro feeling. Menu is quite extensive and just about everything is not for the health conscious! Everything seemed very heavy sounding with little healthy fresh options. I ordered the Charleston Shrimp with Grits which was tasty but not too appetizing as it was basically just a piled high mountain of food smothered in sauce. You need to come here with a big appetite as you'll leave with a big waistline!

Visit often mostly for breakfast but sometimes for dinner when I'm craving their Chicken & Waffles. Food is good and always consistent and service friendly. A very good diner.

Well it happened! My wife and I's favorite restaurant has fallen from it's first impression. The food is coming out poorly cooked and the server's that would never serve a plate with burnt or over cooked food now just drop it a run. They went to frozen onion rings. What a shame how fast and how far this one time pillar of consistency and quality has become just another crap shoot restaurant in Palm Coast.

Been here several times for breakfast and again today. It's always a bustling place and often a wait but the line goes quite fast. Seating inside or out and servers busy and can take a while getting around everyone sometimes. So many options on the menu to chose from and often difficult deciding what to chose. Kids love the food here and look it as a treat. Sweet teas are really good. Plenty of food for the money.
