    Service was great, food even better! I had the pork chops that were so tender you didn't need a knife to cut them. The she crab soup was excellent as were the homemade mashed potatoes. Nice atmosphere, comfortable surroundings and conversation didn't need to be shouted above the noise level. Had a taste of the "chocolate stuff" and it was wonderfully rich with plenty of home made whipped cream. We'd go to Barbara Jean's again and again and again!

    My wife and I went to Barbara Jean's in Palm Coast yesterday and it lived up to it's reputation. I had the crab cakes and they ranked with the best that I ever had. The "She Crab" soup was terrific. Spicy, but that is the way I like it. My wife had a delicious NE clam chowder and the fried fish. She said it was done just right. Too much food so she took a whole piece home. We were too full for dessert. Service was great. (maybe too great as food came fast). We were early and had no problem getting in but when we left after 6 it was full.

    Great place food was excellent service was the best. Highly recommend the crab cakes.
