Went for breakfast and ordered bagel and nova but when the meal was brought to the table guess what ? They forgot the nova....need I say more? Also ordered a side of crispy bacon which was delivered on a plate of grease!
The bright spot in all of this was our waitress was wonderful. Not sure if I can go back again.

We thought the new look was very nice and they did an awesome job. We ordered sandwiches for lunch which were both tasty and ample. Service was attentive and friendly. We originally thought the prices were quite high until they arrived... they were very large and good value. We would definitely visit again.

I was not to sure about trying this place, but really wanted a good bagel. I don't have a clue as to what all of this is about but the place looks great. Robert Irvine did a great job, as usual. The bagels reminded me of home (NY) and the service was great. Everyone was friendly and attentive. There were two specials on the board and I had the breakfast wrap. My breakfast was cooked perfectly and the home fries were delicious. I can't wait to try the lunch and dinner. Thanks for a wonderful experience. I will be back!

We used to go for breakfast all the time. We have recommended Grace's to many, many people over the last three years. Never, never again. Since the renovations the place is awful. No specials. Wait staff is totally incapable. Menu is limited and expensive (coffee $1.99). My wife had a bagel that was better as "Bagel crisps". Totally hard, like it was three days old. Waitress brought us the wrong check TWICE! Total disaster.

After hearing about Grace's on the radio all the time I figured why not give it a try. Walked in the host promptly greeted me and took me to a seat, he then asked what he could get me to drink. Great so far after receiving my drink I must have fallen of the earth. I counted about 5 servers in the dining room, then Grace came out, and talked to some customers, still I sat waiting to order. Finally I ask the host if someone could please help me. Server came up and apologized then took my order. I ordered Lobster bisque and lasagna was told a rush would be put on the food. The soup arrived but had been heated in the micro? How do I know you ask the first bite was Luke warm the next bite from the other side of the bowl was very hot and curdled it show not have been served. The Lasagna was quite good, but I should have ask what kind was it, I expected a meat not cheese lasagna. Rolls were good side salad was great. When I finally received a server she was wonderful.

When Grace took over the deli, we were glad someone stepped in to fill a need in this community. There were no other Jewish style delis in Palm Coast. Sure, there are delis but no Jewish style delis. Slowly, The old Strathmore/Grace's lost the Jewish style until Robert totally killed it. In our minds, the one thing Palm Coast had going for it dining wise, what set it apart, was an excellent deli. The menu now is boring, limited and decidedly, not in a deli style. Matzo ball soup is now minestrone with a matzo ball stuck in it. No more smoked fish. Oh, they now offer whitefish salad for get this, $38 a pound. I kid you not, $38 a pound! Limited supply of bagels and the carryout side for bagels is now separated from the restaurant side. The food? I can get this food at any other Palm Coast restaurant. Lunch/breakfast places here are a dime a dozen. There are no Jewish style delis now. Robert should have done his homework and his demographics. He took something unique and replaced it with a time worn, mundane menu and Bob Evans concept. The decor? Clean but the ambiance and the neighborly feel of the place is gone. Hey, anybody know where I can get some Jewish style deli? I'm jonesing for a bowl of Matzoh Ball soup with a latke and a nice chunk of smoked sable.

We have been regular customers at Grace's since it first opened and have been there for breakfast and/or lunch perhaps 30-40 times. We were sadly disappointed at our recent (and probably last) visit after the renovation. On the plus side the overall look of the establishment is cleaner than in the past. That is the only plus. The menu is much thinner than it had been - the luncheon choices are much more restricted. Gone are all the bagel choices. Gone is the wonderful matzoh ball soup. There is nothing on the menu to warrant the titles "deli" or "N.Y. style." In essence, there is nothing unique about Grace's anymore.
I ordered a Pepsi without ice and it came with ice. When it was returned to me without the ice it had almost no syrup in it. I was told the soda would be fixed in five minutes. A few minutes later I was offered other choices because it was not fixed. I opted for lemonade which also had almost no taste. I then ordered a BLT sandwich which came after a long wait and it looked beautiful. However, I can't imagine how they could produce something so incredibly tasteless. A week prior to this I had stopped in to order a bagel sandwich to go. No plain, sesame, or "everything" bagels were available. While I was waiting, a few potential customers left because they were told that their orders would take quite a long time to be prepared.
We were huge fans of Grace's and I am so sorry that they have chosen to go in this direction. I certainly wish them success in the future but I doubt that I will return unless I hear of a reversion back to what drew me to them in the first place.

OK, so we used to be fans of Grace's Place in the past, and think the owner is really trying. The service quality really just depends on the person you get to serve you. A few of the guys and girls who have been there for a long time are great... while others just shouldn't be working in the restaurant or customer service industry. As a small business owner, I know it isn't easy to find good, reliable help, but sometimes you have to cut your losses with certain employees in search of the best. Maybe that's what they are doing the poor service is because there are always new people trying to learn the ropes, I really don't know.
I stopped in today - my first time since the renovation - and I ordered a scrambled egg and cheese on a bagel. The girl confirmed my order (repeated scrambled back to me), made it, then when I got to the office with breakfast I found an undercooked (liquidy white) fried egg which I couldn't eat! So it was a waste of money and a trip. While I was waiting, I watched another customer pay, and the young lady helping her couldn't count change back without the aid of the cash register... so to avoid having to wait even longer, the customer just said "don't worry about the change"!
The renovation looks great (very pretty and feels a lot cleaner with the fresh paint), HOWEVER, when they cut the take-out side off from the restaurant side they made it much smaller leaving an awkwardly narrow area for those who are ordering, and waiting for takeout. Originally they had a small seating area (2 hi-top tables) where you could sit and sip your coffee while you waited for your order to be ready, which also allowed you to get out of the way of the others who are in line to order. That's gone now, so the girls behind the counter just sort of holler "I can help who's next" or "have you been helped" The coffee station also leaves room for improvement, as you are trying to nudge your way through a crowd of people just to get some cream and sugar!
That said, I think the place has potential, but it's definitely not going to be a place I return to often... at least not until I start hearing some better reviews.

We went yesterday on our lunch hour, as we have in the past. We had stopped going because you could never get out of there under 1-1/2 hrs, so we tried the new improved Grace's Place and while it looks pretty, the service is still slow. One hour and ten minutes this time. And the matzoh ball soup is no longer matzoh ball soup. It's minestrone with a matzoh ball in it. Menu is very limited and expensive for lunch. Had a hard time picking something to have. They did however seem to be really trying. Our food was dropped on the way to the table and they did try to make it right.

I used to love this place! My friends and I would go in for big breakfasts, coffee, and the nice diner atmosphere. Since this god awful renovation, the service is non-existing, the menu has been decimated, and the place looks comically bad. You now have to sit in some weird rope-cage room... there's only about 10 tables now, and they cut off the bakery section... absolutely dreadful and embarrassing. I bet they will be out of business before their renovation show even airs on TV.

Tried the recently updated Grace's Place and was very disappointed. There were three of us and it took at least 45 minutes to get our food. I had ordered a Reuben with the cucumber salad and got plain corned beef on plain rye bread with french fries. There was nothing on the sandwich except the corned beef. They did then make a Reuben but it was only slightly grilled and wasn't very good but never got the cucumber salad. Don't think I'll be going back there for a meal.

Sorry, but we've given Grace's Place enough chances. Service is poor in the extreme. Twenty minutes for coffee to arrive. The waitress hadn't even taken our order, yet. We opted to leave, since we were very hungry. We went to the Grand Club at Pine Lakes and had a delightful brunch in a beautiful setting. Our other favorite is Oceanside in Flagler Beach for breakfast. You can't beat the service there.

They just totally remodeled and are going to be on the Food Chanel and the place looks nice. But the food was cold, the menu has not changed, the coffee was cold and the service was horrible. They have more customers but did not hire any more help. Their service was lousy before and worse now. Will not go back (No fault of the waitresses, they just don't ave enough help).

The place had a major do over and it is just beautiful; they have given it a real beachy feeling. I love the color of the walls and the new chair coverings. It is a place I want to go with my girlfriends for lunch. I had the nova platter and it was the best; we are from New York, so I know good nova and this is great. My husband had the pancakes they were huge and delicious. Can't wait to go back again soon. I will now try there dinners.

Whenever I go out to breakfast in Flagler I keep hoping to find something different on the menu. So far I have only found it at Le Crepe and Hi Tulips, and places like Graces keep churning out the same old boring food. Here you get the usual offerings served in a not so great ambiance with just OK service. I keep hoping to find reasons to go back but none found at this restaurant.

Went to Grace's Place after church yesterday for the first time. We were seated immediately by the very friendly young lady at the front. The restaurant was very full, but food was coming out of the kitchen at a good rate. Nobody seemed to be sitting and waiting. It seemed that most of the customers were having breakfast, which is a plus when you're in the mood for breakfast after most places stop serving it. After looking over the menu, my husband and I both decided on lunch and ordered soup and half sandwich. We had the chicken noodle soup which was delicious. It had large chunks of chicken, carrots, onions, and a good quantity of noodles - very much homemade. The chicken salad sandwich was wonderful - we had ours on soft, chewy rye bread, which I loved. The chicken salad was very good. Service was prompt and friendly. We love breakfast out, so we'll be trying that soon. We also received a take home menu with the Fri/Sat dinner menu. We'll definitely be back!

Love the owners and April is my favorite server. The food coming out is a little slow, especially when I have a meeting to go to. However I tell people go there the bagels are the best around. Of course the food is great too. Love the bagel sandwiches and the egg white spinach omelet.

Talk about an awesome meal, whether it be breakfast or lunch, Grace's Place should be on your list. Open seven days a week til 3 pm.
Chef John, from the FAA Training Center, is the new chef who will please your pallet. Our favorites-homemade potato pancakes, western omelet, fresh bagels. fresh fruits, Reuben sandwich and of course, a liver wurst on rye. Let's not forget the great service too. Also, a wide variety of Dr. Brown sodas.

We previously wrote a review in July and gave Grace's Place a good rating; however, today we returned with 7 guests and were somewhat disappointed. We hope the owner reads this review because we want to see this deli succeed in Palm Coast.
We arrived at 9am on Saturday and there were maybe 30 people in the restaurant and most, were almost finished with their meals.. We were promptly greeted by our waitress who took our drink order. After placing our food orders we waited approximately 45 minutes before the food arrived. In the meantime, the restaurant had maybe 20 people which is not a large crowd for this restaurant. We noticed that parties of 2 or 3 who arrived after us got their meals faster than us. We also noticed that another party of 5 adults and 2 children waited as long or longer than us for their food and we could tell they weren't happy waiting. When our food arrived, it was "piece meal" meaning the bread and/or bagels were missing (they came later). Problem was that the food was cooling down before the bread arrived. There were a few other problems with the timing of the food but overall the food was good. As I said, we want Grace's Place to prosper but if its patrons wait too long for their food (without any valid explanation), and when the food arrives things are missing from the order. they may not return. Staff was friendly but that alone does not make for a successful restaurant.
