Ai Japanese Restaurant PERMANENTLY CLOSED

This restaurant is a small treasure in Palm Coast. They offer a wide range of Japanese dishes (which were presented in a photo album to increase your level of hunger) and sushi/shashmi. The service was personal and attentive. I enjoyed the Japanese pancake and sushi rolls. Everything was made fresh. A specialty roll of the day would be a nice addition to the menu. Thank you!

People who care what and how they serve you. Great place we then took a walk and had ice cream at the new place by them. Best Sushi in the area, It is like eating artwork plates were full of color and flavor.

What more can I say than this is the very best! Fresh, excellent service and tasty. They do need a happy hour!

As an extra "something" for our sons' birthdays, they get to choose where they would like to eat their b'day dinner. Recently our youngest celebrated his 10th birthday and he chose a hibachi chicken dinner prepared only the way Ai can. Being he's had it in the past, this special dinner for him was no disappointment. We all enjoy Ai's food which we think is the best in the area.

My family and I visited for dinner yesterday. The server is very friendly and efficient. The food tasted very good, dressing on the salad was the best. The restaurant is very nice but it's not very big place. Reasonably priced, especially for dinner. Highly recommended.

There isn't enough room to list my favorite dishes. The service is absolutely the best. Sam and Toom are second to none when it comes to customer satisfaction. Sam puts forth such care and respect when he prepares sushi and sashimi dishes. The cooked food is the best also. Toom is the utmost gentleman. It is obvious their hearts are in what they do. We used to go to another sushi restaurant in PC but when that Japanese bistro changed hands, we found that what the new owners offered wasn't for us. Ai is where we dine exclusively for Japanese foods.

Really liked the place but as I read one or morre reviews , I can say most are on the money. Had the sushi/ Teka don portion was small for the price. The service was very good. I would go back but hope they stop skimping on portion sizes.

Really found Ai to be the hidden treasure. Portions need to be a little bigger but overall it was super great. Service was really good, food tasty and prices reasonable.

Compared to all the new sushi restaurants around Palm Coast, Ai seems very dated. It's more traditional with quite basic sushi creations unlike the new more adventurous places. Their service is excellent though and what they do offer is done well. I still have fond memories of Ai as being the only sushi/Japanese restaurant in town but the cuisine has come a long way since then.

Not too sure why so many like this place. Compared to other local sushi places I found Ai to be quite drab. The sushi wasn't close to being as creative and the menu was mostly uninspiring. What we did have was prepared quite well and tasted good but service, atmosphere and food lacked any sizzle. Tempura batter was good, though.

This is the reigning Gold Medalist in sushi, Service and quality! Lived her 17 years and have tried them all... owners really have a handle on how to treat a customer and how sushi and tempura should be. Try it!

My husband and I went to Ai last week .Great Japanese restaurant in palm coast. Always fresh and cooked / made to perfection. Some of the best seabass teriyaki i've ever had. Excellent, efficient and friendly waitstaff. Reasonably priced, especially for dinner. Highly recommended if you like Japanese.

By far the best Sushi & Japanese food in the area. I am a long time patron and frequent Ai and always enjoy.

Our server greeted us with a very big welcoming smile and was very efficient throughout our lunch. We each ordered variations of their two-roll lunch special. The soup was good and the sushi wasn't bad. I had a Avocado Roll which was basically flavorless but the California Roll was quite nice. The choices for the special were very limiting and the time for the rolls to arrive make it difficult to go for lunch when at work.

We went to Ai last week. We tried a selection of their sushi items and all were excellent. My friend and I ordered shrimp tempura and it was wonderful. Server was friendly and efficient. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Our first time at Ai. The food was awesome, the sushi was wonderful and the server (waiter) was very friendly and helpful. We will be back again soon.

I've been here several times.The food is always fresh and cooked perfect .Service is excellent. I recommend it for everyone.

I was disappointed with my visit to Ai. I guess I had higher expectations, but I found the place kind of tired and dull inside and the food really not that great. The sushi was okay, but had better in Palm Coast and the tempura really didn't perform at all. Its batter was flat and not light and airy and had little flavor. The lone server was attentive but had no personality or offered any kind of niceties. Not too cheap either and I left feeling a little cheated.

The Sushi is so delicious, actually I have been there quite often and have had the chance to eat a variety of foods and have been incredibly pleased with everything. The service is is great!
