The veal marsala was good. I had the eggplant parmesan and did not like it at all. It was dry, made with ricotta? cheese and I only ate one bite. Very disappointing. The Cesar salads were wet, as though they had been sitting around. The calamari appetizer was very good and the wine was good.

My husband and I were very happy to stumble upon this charming little place. From the food to the service I would say 5 stars.Thank you Bella Gustos to being small, charming and mom and pop.

We have been to Bella Gusto 3 times this month.I have had the veal marsale,a bolgenes pasta, and a special pasta of chicken & sausage. Each dish has been excellent. My wife has had 3 different dishes and enjoyed all of them.
Our friends that introduced us to Bella Gusto swear by the Chicken or Veal Picatta

We all had canolli's one night and they were so good I have gone back and bought them for dinner parties at our house.

We ordered pizza for Super Bowl Sunday and I have to say the caramelized onion, mushroom, goat cheese was not very good, but the two other pies were good

We enjoyed a most delicious dinner! The veal Marsala was the best my husband said he has ever tasted. I thoroughly enjoyed the penne a la vodka- also the best I have ever tasted!

The tomato bisque was fabulous!!! We shared the tiramisu for dessert- excellent

We will definitely dine here again and again.

We decided to go to Bella Gusto to get a pizza and a good "cold" draft beer before the Sugar Bowl. We sat in the bar area, ordered a pizza and two "cold" draft beers..sounds simple enough! Quite the contrary, even though they have at least 5 different draft beer taps, they had NO draft beer in the house. In stead they offered us a warm bottled beer they had pick up at Publix. The bar tender was extremely arrogant and rude. So rude, in fact. we got up and left. Went to JT's got a "cold" draft beer and dinner.

The sad part of the story is that we eat there several times just after they opened and thought the food was good, especially the wood fired pizza, the "cold" draft beer and the pleasant bar tender. Not so now! We won't be going back. They are going in the wrong direction as other reviewers wrote. Sad because It would be nice to have a good Ristorante in the neighborhood. Oh well, there is JT's!

Had dinner there last Wednesday nite. Big disappointment. Everything from the wine to the sauce on food tasted bland and watered down. Had the Manicotti w/shrimp scampi, only taste was from garlic and shrimp had "off" flavor. Husband had Veal Parmigiana, which was a huge portion, but sauce was watery and spaghetti overcooked. We live in the Hammock and would love more choices when we eat out.

We were there last month and it was pretty good. A few problems but we decided to go back and try it again. Whew, what a change! The same caramelized onion, goat cheese, mushroom pizza that was so excellent the last time was this time a limp, soggy sauteed onion, goat cheese spread? Well, it was a mess. No fresh mozzarella and crumbled goat cheese this time. No nicely, sparsely spaced well caramelized onions. No wild mushroom mix this time. Instead, we received a soggy, overly greasy and not caramelized onion flat bread with a not very fresh button mushroom mess mixed with a with smeary goat cheese something or another smeared on it. Do they make goat cheese in a squirt bottle? This sure tasted like it.

Our table was covered by a paper table cloth, with a big nasty grease stain...right in front of me, where my food was to sit. Now, they have a huge roller filled with paper table covering paper. Why not change the paper between customers. Does my doctor not change the paper on his examination table? I mean, what the heck Bella, lose the dirty paper and let the food shine through! Well, the food doesn't shine here, not this time. The salads were OK The bread service was toast service but not bad. Mediocre Chianti wine Would be back? Oh,man, I do not know. This was really bad. If still there in a few months, maybe we'll try it again, but no more greasy onion, cheap cheese mess. They have a pizza oven! Do some gourmet pizzas like the late great Cafe Capri did at the Trails in Ormond.

Was there last weekend and was told by friends afterwards they had had the same bad food and service as we had. I was upset that they did not review so we would know better than to waste or time and money to order and not eat the food.

My husband and I dined at Bella Gusto last night and I must say we were impressed with this new restaurant in Hammock. The place is pleasant, the food was very tasty and the service was wonderful. We were overwhelmed by the size of our portions. My husband had lasagna that he rated excellent. I had Chicken Parmesan which was also very good. The restaurant offerings are traditional Italian. I saw wonderful pizzas being delivered to another table and will probably return to try them out. I am pleased that I can recommend this restaurant to my friends. This is a nice addition to our area.

Went there the first week and it was a little noisy and hectic and service not so good. Then tried it a second time last night (they are only in week 3) and it was dramatically better from a service standpoint. The food was outstanding both times, the service was great the second visit so training must have worked. The presentation of food the second time was improved, the menu was changed but with a great selection. Give it a try.
