Ordered the Trio Hibachi and the food was quite good. The Hibachi chef was entertaining but once you've seen it once it gets kind of boring. They have the best yum yum sauce and ginger dressing on salad is also very tasty. Rice was good. Staff very attentive. The decor needs updating as it's starting look worn. Good place for a fun meal once in a while.

Found the staff all to be very inviting and accommodating. Food at the hibachi table was good but you're really paying for the whole event too. I had the Kings Deluxe and it was really quite a feast! Entertaining place for a fun date. Nice atmosphere and prices fair.

It's starting to look a little worn inside but the staff remain very friendly and it's always an entertaining place to dine. The hibachi food is very good and the chef does a good show. Ordered from the Asian Bistro menu once and it wasn't the best but the Tempura was excellent. Recommend for a date night.

It's starting to look a little tired in there and the hibachi chef's jokes are getting old now, but the food and service are still good. We find it entertaining none the less and we always enjoy the food. Love that yum yum sauce! Good portions and prices fair. I recommend for something different.

Very entertaining and had a great time here. Staff were wonderful and the chef was funny. Food tasted great and it was fun to watch the cooking. Other people on our table were cool and it was a unique dining experience. I highly recommend.

Highlight of visit: The hibachi table.

This is kind of mixed review and ratings as we went about two weeks ago for lunch and had sushi and it was a terrible experience with barely edible food and lazy unfriendly service, but went last night (reluctantly for a friend's birthday) and we had a fabulous time!! Service was on the ball, the hibachi chef was entertaining and the food was delicious. Our entire party had a great time and loved the food. I think they need to re-thing their lunch situation as that will bring this restaurant down fast, and if it wasn't for the birthday we would never have returned. But now we definitely will.

This is a nice place and can be a lot of fun providing you get good table mates, but we did have a visit here where through no fault of Sakura we had really miserable and rude people sitting at our hibachi. Food comes out looking fresh and is cooked in front of you in an entertaining style, although the jokes are cheesy and kind of lost once you been here 2 or 3 times. But the staff are very nice and do their best. The food tastes quite good and is plentiful. However, we have noticed that the restaurant is starting to show signs of getting dated and in need of a fresh makeover. Mostly though you get a good meal here in a fun atmosphere.

Highlight of visit: Their white sauce is delicious and favorite hibachi is the scallop.

As far as hibachi style restaurants are concerned Sakura does a very good job. The chef was entertaining and the food very delicious. We had a great group at our teppan table and it was fun meal. We visited again for lunch and sat at the front "Asian bistro" area and the food there was not so good, I had a Thai dish that was quite bland and the sushi was very fishy tasting. Service was good though and it's a very nice inside that feels like you're in a bigger city restaurant. We will definitely return for hibachi again.

We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday night 8:00 pm. I took my wife and my granddaughter. We were told it was going to be a 45 minute wait or they can cook it in the kitchen, we stated we came for the show , because they had a table of 15 and needed 2 chefs to take care of that table.

They told us they would give a free sushi appetizer for waiting. There was no other tables with customers at that time, except for the big party of 15. About 15 minutes later the waiter came out and said that they were going to have the chef come over and take care of us.The soup and salad came out with the chef. He came out and did his "show" that was the first joke. Really fast. No show at all. That is the reason we brought my granddaughter. He rushed through the show so that he could go to the bigger party. There was no sushi roll, no shrimp appetizer and very small portions [5 small shrimp and 3 scallops for $22.00 ]. Only his onion volcano, that was it, wham bam, and moved onto other party. When we were finished eating we asked to see the manager.

Our server went to kitchen, and came out and laughed and said they did not want to come out. We said we would not pay the bill until the owner came out to talk to us. At that time our chef and the owner came out, not sure if he was the owner or not. He said they did give the appetizer and they had to rush because of big party. The so called owner was very very rude, and asked if we wanted our food for free and he wouldn't do that, we said we don't want anything for free .He stated he would give us $6.00 off a $65.00 + bill and laughed and walk away. The hostess and our waiter said they were very sorry for the owners action.I asked them why do you work here for a rude man like that , and they looked at each other and said they need the money. I will never go there again!

We go to Sakura's once or twice a month and love the food. We usually sit in the hibachi since my wife doesn't care much for sushi, but I've come for lunch with coworkers and they have awesome sushi specials, they have a lot of rolls that i havent tried anywhere else. My only complaint about sakura's is the service, usually the service is pretty good, but they never seem to have a bartender when we go and we've had a Japanese girl wait on us a few times and has messed up our drink orders just about every time, the couple we brought out with us complained their drinks were not right either, it took over 30 minutes of her going back to the bar to get the right drinks and we still didn't order our food. My gin and tonic she brought was a gold color each time so I knew it was wrong, after a while I just changed my order to sake and everything went smooth from there. Our hibachi chef was very entertaining and our guests enjoyed the meal. Three out of four of us left with doggie bags.

We have loved coming here, probably once every 3 months. We eat at the hibachi area and have never experienced the yelling mentioned in other reviews. The cashier could be friendlier, we were a group of 6, two different bills and tried to use a coupon each. The request was denied. The food and hibachi show are awesome and we will continue coming here for our special occasions because it is pricey. My son and his girlfriend say they like the sushi.

I've had a couple of lunches here where service has been slow with staff watching TV more than attending to customers. But at night when I've had the hibachi all the staff including the hibachi chefs have been excellent. Food is very good and I agree that some sushi roles are best avoided, but I was told that they no longer do the all you can eat sushi at lunch, but it's still advertised on their website at for everyday from 11am to 3pm at $12.99.

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Palm Coast. The sushi is phenomenal, freshly made when you order from the crazy huge selection, and very reasonably priced. The only great chinese food I have had in my whole life--real chicken, fresh veggies, you can taste that it is all house made and not shipped in huge vats with MSG. Hibachi is delicious with HUGE portions. To the reviewer who said the show was in bad taste and not family friendly? It's quite obvious to be family-centered and I think most reasonable people would think it was cute and funny. Also, being a very frugal person, I happen to think that the prices for lunch (and dinner, too, for that matter) are incredibly reasonable. I come here all the time and bring my family whenever they are in town.

The hibachi chef at our table staged an onion on fire which he extinguished with what look like a male urinating on it. Very bad taste. Food was ok--not great. Chef was too chatty. Not a family friendly place

I recommend this place as a hibachi restaurant but not for the sushi! We have always had great food and a fun time sitting at the hibachi. The last couple of times having sushi though were not very positive experiences. The all you can eat sushi is of very poor quality and taste and you can get far better anywhere else that sells sushi in Palm Coast. It appears to be operating on a very tight budget which is quite understandable in these times, but quality has suffered!

We LOVE this place! The sushi is so good. They have an all you can eat sushi lunch, and you can choose from the entire menu of sushi, for a very reasonable price. I had never had sushi so good and so unique. The chinese food was far superior to anything you can get at a take-out chinese place, and you could taste how much of the sauces were made in-house. Definitely recommend this place, especially if you are in the mood for sushi or chinese food.

Too expensive, you can get better food for a better price at Thai by Thai. They would have more business if their prices were lower.

We went to the hibachi grill last Friday with our family and everyone loved it. We usually don't sit in their hibachi area since we've seen the show so many times, but we had our kids and grandchildren in town so we thought it would be nice. The man waiting on us was very nice and our chef was great. We even got a free desert for my son's birthday. I would recommend trying their hibachi if you are going with more people, their regular dinning room is nice too, I really like the chefs special sushi.

Not so good on the entrees. The Chinese entree was flat out nasty. The Thai was OK, nothing special. The place needs a good scrubbing and floor mopping. Typical Palm Coast effort.
