I had high hopes but was very disappointed. My wife and I were upset with the quality of food for the price. It was sub par. I ordered a dish with asparagus and it did not even have any. The owner came out and said they ran out and substituted it for broccoli and said if I wanted asparagus they could ask the French restraint next door to borrow some. The lamb curry my wife had was terrible. She is Asian and knows how it is supposed to taste. Awfully SLOW service as well. Took forever to get drinks and then place an order. Will never go back.

This is a great little place with very professional food and wonderful food. Their sushi is creative and very delicious. Other items were very good too, especially the tempura which was light and crispy. We recommend Kokoro for a quality meal at reasonable prices.

My wife and I decided to try this restaurant on the spur of the moment and were very pleased.

We decided to eat outdoors under the large umbrellas where they have beautiful and comfortable sectionals and were quickly greeted by the hostess. Our waiter (Stephen) asked if we had dined there before and we told him we had but at another location.

We ordered a great Mojito, a glass of wine and decided to order the Gyoza appetizer which is a fried chicken dumpling. We also ordered a Volcanic Hot Rock Salmon dinner and a Chicken & Shrimp dinner which came with a choice of soup or salad. The appetizer was wonderful but we only got 5 dumplings instead of 6 as listed on the menu but as I mentioned, it was wonderful.

Both dinners arrived and were flamed at the table. Both were very good but I didn't care for one of the two sauces (Ginger Teriyaki & Yuzu Tartar) that came with the dinners. My wife liked both of hers but my Ginger Teriyaki sauce tasted a little burned. Our waiter offered to bring another sauce and rice but I declined the offer. Next time I'll be sure to order one of the other sauces on the menu.

The owner (Laura) was very cordial, asked how our dinner and service was and told us about their recent opening and we replied that we were happy to see them open at the European Village. We also told her we will definitely return.

Service was slow, sushi rice tasted like it was reheated in the microwave from previous days. Our server was horrible and inexperienced , took nearly 20 minutes to get our drinks, the owners came to greet us and when we left, they appeared tipsy with other customers. Horrible experience and not all authentic. Will not return.

What happened to a wonderful restaurant... too big too fast. Been there three times since the moved into nicer place. what a mistake to take a wonderful sushi restaurant and ruin it......The service was terrible. We waited over 15 minutes to have a drink order taken and then the great cold saki they always served was served warm and the waitress disappeared. The sushi used to be top notch...needless to say with any sushi you have to wait, but this is now way too long for very disappointing sushi. The sushi from Publix is far superior. I will not be back...........its a shame... used to be the best quaint place to have a nice evening.

The food was good but waited over 20 min for our drinks. Another 30 minutes for a simple soup to arrive followed by 40 more.minutes for small sushi rolls. Good place to go if you want to spend a lot of money for OK food and wait for crummy service. Sad as the server was very nice and felt bad.

My husband and I visited with another couple over the weekend for a celebration and couldn't of wished for a better time. We kept the occasion private to Kokoro but were still made to feel very special and had the most amazing meal. From the food to the service it was all top notch and we felt unhurried and valued as customers. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and professional service. A tad on the high side but worth every penny.

I must say I was very impressed with my experience here.... the sushi selection is overwhelmingly good and everyone we selected was amazing. Great soup as well and the vegetable tempura had really good batter. Prices are a tad high but for the excellent food quality and professional service it was well worth the extravagance. Can't wait until we go again.

Not too sure if it's me or not, but there seems to be some kind of Latin thing going on here lately. The food is still very delicious and service is impeccable, but I'm hoping Kokoro isn't losing its identity. I think this is the best Japanese and sushi restaurant we have in Palm Coast and I'd hate to see it become some kind of fusion place. But I still love Kokoro!

This restaurant is tucked away in ahidden part of the shopping center but is well worth seeking out. Prices are on par with a special occassion restaurant but offer good value considering the quality, creativity and flavors. I especially liked the advocado fireball appetizer and all of our sushi selections were excellent. Our server was knowledgable and professional and we will ask for him again. For sushi and other Japanese dishes Kokoro is the best I've sampled in Palm Coast!

There are a lot of sushi places in Palm Coast now but Kokoro is still the Emperor of them all. The others look very cool inside and Kokoro is starting to show its age, but its food outshines each one. Their service is highly professional and although a meal here can be costly, you get great quality, creativity and awesome flavors. Kokoro is our first choice for somewhere special when dining in Palm Coast.

We went Friday night for my boyfriend's birthday... took a few minutes to get seated and service was very nice but kind of sluggish throughout the meal. Food was inedible though! We had a few sushi choices and tempura. All sushi tasted great and the tempura batter was light and non-greasy. We loved our meal and can't wait to go back.

We have been here twice now and both times were excellent, although on the second visit it was much busier and did take much longer for our orders to arrive. We were more than happy with the food though and realize they make everything fresh to order so it can take a while. We have tried nearly all the other sushi restaurants in Palm Coast and find this one to be the most superior but more expensive. You can taste the difference in the quality though. Not open for lunch which is a shame.

We really enjoy Kokoro and find it to be the best sushi restaurant by far. Prices may sound high but you really do get great quality and you can definitely taste the difference. Service can be slow during busy times and as all rolls etc. are made to order there may be a wait, but good things come to those that do! The wasabi and lava rolls are my favorite and is well worth a try, but all are really good. I highly recommend Kokoro for anyone wanting quality sushi and Japanese food.

My wife and I are serious lovers of sushi and have tried it everywhere in Flagler and Kokoro remains our favorite. They are not the cheapest but have the very best selection and are the most creative. Some of the newer sushi restaurants have nicer decors and interiors but their food just isn't as good. We wish we could take Kokoro's food and put it in Fancy sushi's atmosphere, then that would be perfect, but this is not a perfect world and we still really love Kokoro as its food is the star.

We visited with out of town friends last Friday for dinner and had a wonderful meal. We ordered a selection of sushi and one of friends, who is not into sushi, ordered a steak that is served on a hot rock, but ended up tasting our sushi and enjoyed it so much he ordered more rolls. They also do an amazing appetizer made with tuna and avocado that was unique and delicious. We are delighted to have this restaurant so close to home and will be visiting often. Thank you for a delightful meal.

I am so happy to have found this place. Sushi is fresh, tasteful and the pieces more than ample. Specialty rolls are out of this world. i have eaten sushi in some of the finest restaurants in New York. KoKoRo is right up there with the best. Nice cozy atmosphere and wait-staff are there to please. This was our third trip, but it surely wont be the last. The owner informed us that they have a new chef making cooked items for those who don't eat sushi. Will try that next.

This is the best sushi in the area and offers a very good selection. Service is on the ball and prices not too bad for Japanese food. I wish they were open for lunch though! I go to Publix often for sushi and would rather get take out from here instead.

This place was an awesome find.... we ordered several sushi (what's plural for sushi? lol) and we loved every one. They have some creations not seen elsewhere and the avocado tuna appetizer was out of this world delish. Service was very good but dropped off a little towards the end. If you're a sushi fan then you'll really love Kokoro.

This is an impressive restaurant offering a broad range of creative items. I'm a fussy eater and insist on freshness and Kokoro doesn't disappoint. My wife isn't typically very keen on Japanese food or sushi but she always finds something here she likes while I indulge on more "daring" items. Prices are up there a little so we don't go every week, but that makes it more special when we do. I miss the old owners but the new ones are filling their shoes quite well.
