One of the WORST Chinese Buffets I have ever been to. Since Chinese food is my favorite, and I have never been disappointed with any Chinese Buffet restaurants, we decided to try it out. It was a SATURDAY lunch hour, we drove in the parking lot and there were very few cars (NOW WE KNOW WHY). We had second thoughts but decided to try it out anyways. We got up to serve ourselves. THE FOOD LOOKED AND TASTED LIKE LEFTOVERS. The whole time we were there no fresh food was brought out, workers only went to look at the food and mix it and leave back to the kitchen.

Sesame chicken has always been my favorite, but theirs was the worst I have ever tasted. It was hard, didn't even look like chicken let alone sesame chicken, and WAS REHEATED for a fact, one too many times.I couldn't wait for desert... my favorite desert at Chinese Buffets is the ice cream particularly Chocolate Chip Mint..THEY HAD A GREEN ICE CREAM BUT IT WASN'T MINT OR CHOCOLATE CHIP. I will never go back and I will never recommend it to anyone!

Come on Grand Hong Kong, you can do better than this if you bought the food frozen. I like buffets because I usually have limited time for lunch and I can eat and run, but this place will have you running for much longer afterward! Did not like any of the dished presented here and really struggled to find something to fill up on. Not sure what goes on here, maybe it's just some region of China they're from that doesn't have seasoning except for sugar, or maybe they're just trying to produce food as cheaply as possible with the minimum of ingredients, whatever it is, it's not like Chinese I've had elsewhere and it's not good.

TERRIBLE! I can't believe the experience. Once before I was yelled at when I arrived to pick up a bowl of soup to take to a friend in rehab. It seems I tried to call in the order to save time and my order was refused over the phone. When I arrived the owner actually screamed at me for trying to place a phone order. Oh well, we all have bad days. I went there tonight and put some food on my plate, including bourbon chicken. When I went back and took a bite of it a strong chemical taste hit me like a ton of bricks! I love spicy food. This wasn't spice. It almost tasted like acetone. I asked the waiter (who feigned not understanding me - until it came to the bill) to ask the manager to come to the table. He finally went to the manager who totally ignored the request. I went to him and told him that I liked his place. I had eaten there before but this time there was something wrong with the bourbon chicken. Before I could even finish he started yelling that I was wrong. His food was always perfect and I didn't know what I was talking about. I asked him to try a bite. He refused at first but saw people watching, so he put some on a plate and went into the kitchen to supposedly try it. He came out yelling across the room that the chicken was excellent and I didn't know what I was talking about. At that, two ladies sitting near me told him they had taken one bite of the chicken and both spit it out it tasted so strange. He told them they didn't know what they were talking about. Two men then told him the same thing and he actually said, "I am right and all of you are wrong."

I told him, truthfully, that everything now tasted like whatever was in the chicken and I could not eat. I asked for an adjustment and was immediately told to either pay or he would call the police. I said that I intended to pay if he insisted but he should know that it would be the last time I would visit his restaurant. He told me that was good and not to come back. At that the two ladies told him to bring their checks and that they would never return and the two men made a rather graphic comment and walked out without paying. None of us were impolite, argumentative or even raised our voices.

Do yourself (and me) a big favor and take your business elsewhere. BAMBOO CREEK on Belle Terre Parkway is an excellent Chinese restaurant with a pleasant staff and managers. They go out of their way to make the food any way you order it and the prices are less than the buffet. It is also a pleasant, clean restaurant. Please don't give people like Grand Hong Kong your money. You deserve better and it's right down the road.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the majority here. I have visited here 3 times now and I have to say there will not be a fourth. Their food is not like any Chinese I've had elsewhere. It is tasteless, some has a strange consistency and some tastes like it has been sitting around for a long time. My rating of 2 stars is for the sushi. I wish we had a good Chinese buffet like Lucky's used to be when it first opened.

I LOVE Chinese food. That being said, I do not know what this food was. It was equal to Morrison's cafeteria with faux Chinese dishes. The owner standing turning over dried out almost empty trays was hilarious! NO NEW FOOD came out in all the time I was there. When asked for fresh food no one seemed to speak English. BUT when they wanted to get paid English was no issue. Probably WORST restaurant EVER!

We saw an ad for this place and it looked really nice, and although it is a nice place when you go in, it's only as good as its food and that wasn't very good at all. We found the food had little flavor and some of the meat had a strange texture. It was cheap but I'd rather pay more if cost sacrifices quality this much.

Horrible Chinese food. Possibly the worst I have had anywhere. There was nothing on the buffet I liked. I'm not into sushi and after about 3 plates of trying different items I gave up, paid and left. Server looked at me as if she knew.

I have to agree with some of the others on this place. It is a nice restaurant and our server was really good, but we were disappointed with the food. We often order take out from other Chinese places and everyone has so much better food than what is available here. Some of the items were "sticky" or dry and if you closed your eyes you wouldn't know what you were eating. 2 stars for sushi and desert.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! Every dish tasted the same. Food was constantly turned over in trays rather than new food being brought in, Asking for "fresh" replenishment's brought a NO response. Owner quite rude and disturbed over hearing "constructive comments".

I think most of the other reviewers have hit the nail on the head. Not quality food. Tasteless. Mostly dry and if I could think of one adjective for this food it would be "bland". Server was good. Decor nice. Prices reasonable.

I just returned from dinner at this restaurant, I must say I am very disappointed. I went with my fiance and his two friends, as well as two children and after we were already seated with plates of food from the buffet, the waiter then came over to tell us there was a change in the pricing for the kids. Instead of being priced just as a kids price, they have it $7.99 for 5-7 year olds, and $9.99 for 8-10 year olds. Aside from that, neither of the children ate the food, they were very upset and thought it was gross. They had chicken fingers and French fries. We asked to speak to the manager to see what they could do. The waiter came back and said she would be by later. The kids wanted to try dessert, and when the little girl went up, she picked out a few brownies and some of those red covered bananas. She was then yelled at that if she didn't finish all of it she would be charged double. (its a buffet, not to mention she's only 7) she was then walked back to the table by the manager/owner who is the one that scolded her. The little boy didn't eat either, he only ate a little bit of chocolate pudding. Their father then explained the situation, and she agreed to charge $5.99 for the little girl and $3.99 for the boy's pudding. She then let us know that if he ate one more thing, she was charging the full $9.99 for him. When the bill was brought to him, it was still marked at full price. After everything's said and done, the food was terrible, the service was rude and even the ice cream was gritty. Now I know why there were only 3 table of people there. Oh, and before I forget, the sushi normally is offered with the orange sauce, we were told the sauce is not included with the buffet....what?? Not going there again, and who tells at a little 7 year old girl for getting a few too many sweets. Which by the way she did eat every bit of them. :( very disappointed.

I really have to agree with the majority here, this is not good Chinese food. While the restaurants itself is nice and the service good, the food is a big let down. Many of the trays barely had a potion size of food in them and what was there was dry and tasteless. The sweet and sour sauce was very watery. I believe this a perfect example of quantity of quality. Lots of items and none done well at all.

I really had higher hopes of this restaurant. First impressions were good with it's nice decor and friendly server. But the food did not impress at all. We found the food was mostly very flavorless, dry and sparse in the trays. The sushi was okay and the woman serving us was very nice and on the ball. We love Kings Palace for Chinese takeaway but really wish there was a good sit down Chinese in Palm Coast.

Absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Most of the food was cold and stale, probably sitting there all day and reheated. I had guests that I took to dinner and everyone hated it. Then to my surprise when I received the check we were all charged $1.99 for tea. We were CHARGED FOR TEA in a Chinese restaurant. Unheard of. When we didn't receive silverware I had to walk all over the restaurant trying to find someone who understood what I was asking for. I will not be back and I will tell all my friends and neighbors how terrible this dining experience was.

We decided to try this buffet. It was one of the worst decisions I have made. While the service was extremely polite and attentive, the food was atrocious. Most of it was tasteless and the sesame chicken seemed to have a red sauce (almost like Italian). I have never had Lo Mein quite like it. It was also tasteless. Most of the food was cool to lukewarm . The wonton soup was not good . It seemed that a lot of the food in the trays (although not a lot of food) was dry and looked like it had been there for quite some time. I would never go back.

My wife and I visited here for dinner but didn't care for it too much. I'm not too keen on buffets but thought the variety may of been nice. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Most items were very tasteless and uninspiring and very little food was in the trays. Ice cream was nice but didn't make up for the poor meal.

We went last night for dinner. Hubby who is very very fussy of where he eats actually said he would go back. Food was good and service was wonderful. Price was not bad 10.99. Another place to eat in Palm Coast.

Okay I wish I could change my first review but I can't. After going back a second time I was very disappointed. The server was rude. She stood with her hand out waiting for a tip after we gave her a $50 bill for two. Not very tactful. My wife and I had stomach aches a couple hours later. I'm done with Chinese buffets. The people are rude and will cut corners any way possible.
