    Wish I could say this was a good comment but it's not. Although the food was good as always, the service was extremely poor and when we found out why, we were appalled.

    There were 8 of us and we were seated about 6:30 which went fine. We got out food in a timely manner but after that we were ignored by Christopher who we later found out had to wait on the owners of the Golden Lion who had a large table themselves. When he never came around to give us more water or refill or beer we asked him what the problem was. He said he was waiting on the owners of the Golden Lion. By 7:30 we were trying to get our check and it took 30 minutes to get the check and than another 15 minutes for him to come back to pick up or credit cards to pay for it. We were actually standing at this point because we had to be somewhere else. Never has it taken 45 minutes to check out and than to have the owners be the reason for such horrible service. Not a good reflection on how the owners what their restaurant run. They had a long table in the middle near the sand and stage and we were two tables back. How they didn't see we were not happy customers, I don't know. Very disappointed.

    Hope this is not a common practice but not sure that I want to go back to see. Thanks for listening and for the good of your restaurant please be attentive to your customers needs. The "maybe" on visiting that restaurant again depends on the reply to my email to them, Thanks, Carol Williams
