We really liked it here. I feel it's more So Cal than Mexican but good none the less. My shrimp taco was yummy and service good even though it was very busy. Atmosphere is cool for beachside. Will definitely return again.

Beware. Pricey drinks, instant rice and enchiladas that are not enchiladas, salsa is fresh but no kick... none and not even close to real Mexican. In all fairness the chips were good and service fair..... that's it. A tourist place, locals beware! Unless they go get a real Mexican cook book, not going back.

This was my second visit and they are still working with a limited menu as they have not had their grand opening. Had to wait for a table - which was due to the couple not leaving soon after paying. Service started out well. Agree with last review their beers are not cold and they do not do a frosted glass. Ordered queso - spice was hot but temperature was not. My carne asada tacos were not hot and may be a bit overdone.

We asked for separate checks and but our respective cards in our jar that the bill came in. Our server swapped the cards and I was for my friend's bill. We were told that they could not swap it in the system or give us a refund. We overpaid in cash and the server just pocketed all that as a tip. Not sure if I will be willing to give it another go. May be if they get the upstairs open and have people just drinking up there and those dining downstairs that will help out the servers.

Great atmosphere, exceptional food, world class margaritas and outstanding service! Been there 6 times since opening and enjoyed each experience! They don't take reservations but each time we were seated in less than the estimated wait time. Service has always been good and the food quality is unparalleled in the area... not just the area but ANYWHERE!

The margaritas are awesome...the house tequila is very good or you can upgrade to one of 20+ labels!

If you haven't been there you need to go!

Had some bar food it was good. the menu is very limited, the beer selection was poor and the beer wasn't cold (both bottled and draft) a beach bar needs COLD BEER!

Great restaurant with awesome food and atmosphere. The restaurant is new and dealing with working out a few kinks. Some of the other reviews do not allow for this - please give them a chance.

We were told half an hour wait for a table. So we went to the bar for a drink and ended up being there for an hour and a half. The place was a mess, the bar was covered in water and trash. Chips and salsa that was sitting there when we arrived was still there when we left. The bar tender was nice but extremely overwhelmed. She was tapping the glass against the bar to get the shaker out, I was so scared to get broken glass in my drink. They also ran out of Patron for our Margaritas. How does a Mexican Restaurant run out of that? Also you don't get free chips and salsa, they charge you $5. We probably wont be coming back here at all. Will stick to our favorite St Augustine Mexican restaurant La Cocina for sure. =(

We ate here last night it was awesome. Chips and salsa were great we got the number 10 sauce to make It spicier.

We had the south west mussels and the pork chop. I have never been a huge fan of cheese grits but whoa these are so good.

The server was nice and suggested a great bottle of wine. This place does great job of bumping up the class of the beach.

    We love it here.

Four of us went to dinner on a Sat night. The place is at a great location and has plenty of outdoors seating. We did not have to wait too long. We were told we might have to wait because they didn't want the kitchen to get backed up. Maybe they should have just said there was a wait. We really didn't need to know of kitchen "problems". Anyway the menu is sparse but the reasoning makes sense. It's a new restaurant and they are working out the kinks. If they make a mistake, it's easier to correct a limited menu than a large one. Ore server told us that the menu will be expanding to four pages in the near future. The chimecangos were very good as were the tacos. However, the tacos were VERY skimpy. There was a table of children next to us who were screaming and were SOOO noisy we couldn't hear ourselves talk; this dampened what could have been an enjoyable evening. Their parents were oblivious even though they were sitting right next to them. Our sever, Michele, was AMAZING. I hope you get her.

I went there a few weeks ago. Atmosphere was great. Taste of food was amazing. However, total experience was awful! We arrived at 7:00 for dinner. I didn't actually get my food until after 10! i ordered a margarita that was so watered down I refused to drink it. I had the server take it back and was brought a new one. Same problem again. It was about 950 and I asked where my food was, for about the eighth time, and a server said to me, "oh, let me see, the kitchen is actually closing up. But the bar is still open." I did end up getting my food....over 2 1/2 hrs later!!! They had just opened a few days before so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but still...2 1/2 hours of waiting for food!?! C'mon, guys!

Granted, this is a new restaurant, but this was not a good experience. It was a rainy night so not conducive to sitting outside so we obviously sat inside. The waitstaff was surly, there was a wedding party going on which made it extremely noisy and the only available table was right at the door. Let's just say it wasn't a relaxing meal. The menu is extremely limited, salsa is bland and tasteless, shrimp tacos (2) had three very small shrimp on each (when we mentioned this to waiter he curtly said "If I gave you more the quality would be lower so I choose to give you less." When I asked for sour cream for my meal he looked at the sour cream on my husband's plate as if to say share his. I again asked for sour cream and he brought a small cup with about a tablespoon of sour cream in it... then charged an extra $1.00 for it! There was a general feeling of surliness in everyone working there. They have a great location but need to get their act together or they won't be open very long.
