After reading all the good reviews of this place I had hopes, but they soon went away when the food arrived. It's a very nice restaurant and staff was friendly and they have an enticing menu, but I just was not impressed with the food. I am no expert on Thai food and don't know what is authentic or not, but this was not like any other Thai I had before and I didn't like the flavor at all. My daughters joined me and they didn't like their meals either. It's also on the expensive side.

I ate here for the 3rd time last Saturday. Food was consistently excellent. This time I tried the sushi (volcano roll and more) and all I can say is wow - the taste, freshness and presentation were unbelievable. My guests had curried rice noodles and choo chee duck. I managed to sample both and they were fantastic. The atmosphere is so warm and relaxing. This place is such a welcome addition to Palm Coast. We will definitely be back.

The sushi was the best that I've had around here. Very, very fresh! They managed to blow away the Japanese restaurants in the area. The Pad Thai was good, different, a bit heavy on the fish sauce but very good. It was as good as any Thai that we have had in the area. Service was honest and sincere, they really seem to be trying. The decor is an upgrade from Pasta Pasta. Overall, a positive experience and we will be back.

Wow! What a great addition to Palm Coast. Yes, we already have quite a few great Asian restaurants, but this is still another good one!! Had dinner there last night, my husband had Thai and I had Sushi. Both were excellent! Service was top notch, and the new decor is very nice! The place a fresh clean feel to it! Definitely, give it a try!

After reading all the reviews on here I had high hopes of this place but was very disappointed. It's a nice restaurant inside, however the food just wasn't that great. The staff was good although one guy kept telling us how Thai hot meant something different which confused us. I just want it medium but it seemed to too much according to him and when it arrived it wasn't hot at all. Flavors were lacking and the dishes we all ordered were way off from any we've had at other Thai restaurants. they seem to make things much more tomatoey here and more bitter. Doubt I'll be back. It's a shame because it really looked nice at first. But ultimately the food is always the decider.

Four of us ordered take out from here the other night. We ordered a sampling of four different dishes suggested by the employee on the phone. Each was delicious!! Have been disappointed with other Thai restaurants in the area after ordering several dishes only to have them all taste the same. Happily that was not the case here. Each dish was awesome and unique. My favorite was the red curry with chicken. It was slightly spicy and sweet and very tasty. I also especially liked a chicken and cashew dish (don't remember what it was called). Quality was excellent, portion was average for this type of cuisine and the only complaint I heard was from my husband who wanted "Thai hot" and thought his was "American hot" (hot as heck!! to me by the way) Not sure how the previous reviewer was able to give 0 stars...makes me wonder is we were even eating at the same place!! Regardless, Thai Korner, I was very happy and we will be back.

Excellent. We ate there new years day and were very impressed. Place is a vast improvement over the previous restaurant. Service was good. Food was flavorful and well presented. Prices very reasonable. Wait staff are attentive and polite. I am very familiar with Thai food (born and raised in S.E. Asia) and must say this is among the best I have eaten in. Well done to the owners and good luck in Palm Coast... Will definitely return. KM

We were very excited to try this new Thai restaurant. As people who have eaten Thai at some of the top Thai restaurants, we left extremely unhappy.

There were 5 tables occupied in the restaurant. We were immediately seated and not offered drinks for 15 minutes, so we got the attention of one of the owners and told him we were ready. We ordered two salads with ginger dressing, that were good. I ordered the cucumber salad. REAL Thai cucumber salad is made with rice vinegar/sugar base, carrots, red onion and thin sliced or diced cucumber...this had a very spicy base, cucumbers, sweet onion and peas. It was awful. Who the heck puts peas in cucumber salad??? I rechecked the menu and it said "Cucumber, carrots and onions in a sweet tangy dressing". Nothing about peas or spicy dressing. So, I approached the owner and he tried to fix it.... but still the vinegar dressing was still too heavily spiced.

My husband ordered the tempura terriyaki shrimp, he was happy with his order. My friend and I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai, which we eat pretty often (Thai by Thai so far is the best, but has the rudest owner in history). The Shrimp Pad Thai was tomato based, and NOT authentic. It had funny tasting bean sprouts and it was served lukewarm. I prefer it piping hot. It was not the worst I have had, but the bean sprouts ruined it for me with the sour taste. The Pad Thai paste is way off as well, almost like tomato soup. Yuk!

Last but not least. My friends husband ordered the Chicken fried rice (no onions, parsley or tomato). Well, the first order came out and it was covered with parsley. They offered to remake it. The second time it came out with only chicken and tomato. Again, I have eaten fried rice all my life and never had tomato in my rice....ever! By this time we did not want to even attempt another remake...and the portion size had dwindled so small, it wouldn't have been worth it. How hard can it be to make chicken fried rice with peas, carrots and egg?

To top it off, I ordered hot Jasmine tea..my favorite! It was not hot, but it was very good. It was $1.95 and refillable, but to get someone's attention for a refill was almost like getting Obama to fix he housing crisis. (Ok, bad analogy, but I think you get the point!)

The waiter/waitress were very very apologetic, but it did not fix the fact that our first time to this restaurant was a total FAIL! The best Thai food is either Song Kran in South Daytona or the Daytona flea market Thai place that has the best cheap AUTHENTIC Thai ever! Yummmmmmm!

Sorry Thai Korner, you need to re-evaluate your chef and food quality/taste. We unfortunately, will not be back. :-(

Absolutely amazing. This was my first experience with "real" Thai food and I was blown away by the flavor, presentation, and wide range of menu choices. This is not some hole-in-the-wall strip mall Asian restaurant--this is a sincere, family owned and operated (got to meet the owners!) restaurant with a very talented chef where everything is FRESH.

The only thing less than perfect was the waitstaff--they are very young and not experienced with the menu, but they have a lot of heart and will go to the managers to ask detailed questions if they can't answer right away. That said, my drink was never empty! A lot of hustle--and kudos to the owners for hiring local kids and getting them their first experience and supporting our community instead of importing outsiders who just happen to be Thai.

The food: OMG, the food. We started with a TK Sampler appetizer that had 2 each of gyoza dumplings, tofu tempura, calamari, spring rolls, and the most amazing crab rangoons my wife has ever tasted. I thought that I would be brave and try the Tom Yum soup with chicken--I ordered it a little more than medium which is probably fine to Thai food fans, but was pretty zippy for me--and left my tongue tingling. I could definitely taste the black and red peppers in in, but not to the point that they overpowered the natural flavors of the soup. Definitely will try again as mild.

For entrees my wife ordered the Green Curry with Tofu, but you can have any choice of meat or seafood. I do not like Indian food so I had no idea what a "Thai Curry" would taste like...there was a heat, but more than that there was a pepper flavor--combined with the coconut milk and vegetable and served with Jasmine rice, she was delighted.

I ordered the Volcano Chicken, which is described as a "deep-fried chicken breast served with three flavor sauce" This description does not do justice to it! Yes it is deep fried, but this is not some pre-fab chicken cutlet thrown into a fryer. This was obviously hand-breaded and deep fried in a wok, not a fryolator. Served over a bed of steamed vegetables with a light, thin sauce that was both sweet and sour. If you are unsure what to order, this is a nice, safe jumping off point.

Dessert followed with deep fried bananas and deep fried ice cream. Honestly, each one of these is enough for 2-3, but you really should save room for the bananas at least once.

The space is a nicely understated "upscale Asian" with none of the tacky furnishings you would expect from strip-mall restaurants. The bathroom is decorated nicer than my own. :-(

Sushi service starts in January I am told--the creations on the menu look amazing, but I have lots more Thai and Japanese food to try first. Did I mention that they also have a full Japanese menu? Oh yes, they do!

Sorry, but wasn't too impressed! To start, the calamari appetizer was disappointing. Lots of thick batter served with standard chili sauce from a jar. My Masaman Curry entree lacked any real flavor. The chicken was tough and tasteless and the potatoes were like mush, it also had too many peanuts. For the prices I expected much more. It's very nice inside but the food doesn't compare to Thai by Thai's.

They have done a great job of decorating this restaurant with nice wall carving and subtle colors. Service is very attentive and staff try to be as helpful as possible. The menu is quite vast with Thai and Japanese dishes although they're not ready for sushi just yet. I'm often cautious with Asian restaurants that try to cross over into different cuisines like this similar to Sukura, who are better off doing one thing very well than trying to diversify. The food here at Thai Korner is okay. It's not the best Thai food I've had or the worse, but it is a lot different than I've had elsewhere. I had a curry that lacked the flavor and rich coconut creaminess I've had in other restaurants and it had a slightly bitter taste. I'll try this restaurant one more time to sample something else and I wish them luck in Palm Coast. We definitely need more variety here.

I tried several items from the lunch menu: pad Thai with chicken, shrimp tempura and scallops with green curry. The presentation is very good and the food is very good to excellent. The tempura coating is light and crisp and better than most others. The vegetable soup is excellent and the miso soup is better than most. The green curry was very tasty and not too hot since I asked for it "mild." Service and atmosphere are above five stars. I am looking forward to trying their sushi which wasn't available yet. There is a beer and wine menu with Thai and Japanese beers.

Tried Thai Korner tonight for dinner. The service was good. The food was fresh and tasted homemade to me, I had Mussaman Curry and hubby tried their Teriyaki Chicken which had great taste. Teriyaki chicken came with salad, pretty big salad too, I was glad to see fresh greens, not iceberg lettuce. If you like Thai and Japanese food than give Thai Korner a try, I am sure you will enjoy the food and the atmosphere.
