We were very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food at this restaurant. The menu offered numerous and varied choices, including an intriguing list of Portuguese dishes. We all opted for different seafood entrees, and I ordered one from the Portuguese menu. All of the food was well prepared, very flavorful, and healthy. Overall it was very satisfying. The servers were warm, friendly and solicitous but not at all intrusive or overbearing. The only arguable drawback to the service was that it was not quick. But I did not have a problem with this because I felt that care was taken in preparing the food and the overall atmosphere was one of enjoying the time there without feeling rushed. Families were lingering after their meal, and we did the same. This is a refreshing change from the usual American restaurant which hustles you out. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our family likes to try original restaurants and enjoy unique foods so we decided to give this place a try. We had to ask for water after 20 minutes of empty glasses. This was especially poor service considering the fact that it was so hot that even our baby with no hair was sweating. The prawns came in life form and were filled with what could only have been 1/2 their weight in "sand" - just as visible in their tracts as their beady black eyes staring out of their still attached heads. I don't like paying to decapitate my own food. Our teenagers who will eat anything described the buffet as gross. The only pleasant part of our dining experience was leaving and going out into the 90 degree weather where there was at least a breeze to cool off our sweat-laden bodies.

I would definitely not recommend this restaurant! I took my girlfriend out for Valentines Day dinner. When I made the reservation, the young lady on the phone quoted me the menu and the price for the dinner. When we arrived we had to wait for our table. A few minutes later, another couple showed and then another. The owners wife had come to the counter numerous times while this was happening to figure other diners tickets. We were never acknowledged. She finally looked at us and said Oh, party of six? I should have known then to run. We were seated and told what was on the buffet tonight, which was different from what I was told on the phone. I asked for a cola and was told they were out of syrup, but had cans. We were told there was Prime Rib and they showed a picture of Prime on their menu, unfortunately that's not what you get. The prime rib is thin sliced and dropped in some type of brown liquid and it is over cooked and tasteless. I asked for a second cola and watched the owner go to the bar and pour me another and reach into the ice machine with his bare hand and drop ice in my glass, the same hand that he used to pick up dirty dishes from other tables. I then watched his wife use a used glass from another table to scoop ice for their drink. All and all, the food was tasteless and bland, the buffet took forever to refill, and the service was well below the acceptable level. Then when we received our bill, we were charged a higher price then quoted on the phone. When I questioned her on it, I was told the girl that took our reservation didn't know what she was talking about, this was the new price. And to add insult to injury, they charged us $2 for each individual can of cola. Needless to say, we will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

We went here about a week ago. I decided to wait a week before I wrote this because I came out of there less than impressed and thought time would help. It didn't. We were never told the specials. We never were asked if everything was "OK". In fact once the food came, we only saw our server two more times. Once was to bring the salads. Our Salads came after the main course and only because we asked for them. Again no one came after that to check on us. The other time was to drop off the check. At that time we didn't know if we paid the server or paid at the cash register. We waited for a long time with the credit card on the table on top of the bill and no one ever came back. At that point we all got up and went to the register where we waited a long time before anyone came over to take our money. I could understand some of this if the place was busy but it was our table and 4 other tables of diners and that is it.

My husband ordered steak that had lots of fat on it, I ordered red snapper that I didn't realize did NOT come filleted and the head was still on it. Some people like that, I do not. Our Dining companions were equally disappointed. We ended up going someplace else for dessert.

Generally we give restaurants more than one try but I have to say, IF we do....it is going to be a LONG time before we go back.

Excellent place to eat. They don't rush you out like most restaurants do! The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and you can eat in peace. The prices for food and drinks are very reasonable. I will visit again for sure!

We went there tonight and was terrible! Drinks were brought by a man that sat us and there were only 5 other tables. We waited over 10 mins for a server to come over! We ordered shrimp in a garlic sauce, baked potato, au gratin potato, prime rib and green beans. Salad if you call it that, was just lettuce tomato and a ton of onions that was soaked in water. I had to drain it before I could eat it. They said the bread was cooking still waited another 10 mins for that.

Then came the entrees. Wow, I don't know were to start! The shrimp had the weirdest texture... like mushy but powder at the same time, I don't even know how to describe it. They had the head still on and I know this may be for presentation but it was a pain actually and gross as the eyeballs kept falling into my plate. I ate one and a half and pushed to the side. Green beans had noooo flavor whatsoever just canned unsalted green beans. Prime rib was the end chunk of meat very awkward to eat as it wasn't flat and was overdone. Au gratin potatoes were just cut potatoes with no flavor and a sprinkle of cheese. Drinks were empty entire time. Service was terrible and she asked if I wanted a box and I said it was gross and I didn't like it. No apologies for the food or asking if I would like something else. She brought the check and she had added it up wrong after our coupon, so I left her what it should have added up to. Would never return was just awful left hungry and still spent 36 dollars.

I recently moved here to Palm Coast and found this wonderful place to eat lunch. I have returned three times in two weeks. Brought a different person to eat with me each time. From the moment we entered we were greeted and seated by a friendly waiter. Drink orders were taken and brought in a timely manner. Fresh hot bread and butter was brought right out. The food was wonderful. The chicken parmesan was excellent, seafood platter was cooked to perfection, baked fresh grouper was superb. We had the cheesecake today for dessert, it was so tasty that we had to get one to go home with us. We can't wait to come back.

My husband & I were headed for Vince Carter one evening but were in a rush, so we decided to stay local. We ended up at The Prime Rib & Seafood House. We walk in and its dark n gloomy, we wait for about 5 mins until we finally see a waiter and ask him if he would like to sit us, Finally after about 10 minutes we have a place to sit...after 20 mins, after raising my hand at the waiter we have drinks, Finally its time to take our order, We ordered rib-eyes with au gratin potatoes. The steaks had no flavor whatsoever, mu husbands steak was not done enough, so they took it back, cooked it a bit longer and brought it back out to him. Their was not enough salt on the table to make the steaks edible, The potatoes looked and tasted as if the came out of the box and sat there for hours. Salads were brought out with no dressing, when we asked for dressing we get oil and vinegar. A few minutes after the food arrived, we asked for the check. The waiter brought us the check and asked if we would like to take the food home, we explained if we cannot eat it here, we will not eat it at home. Never, will we go there again.

My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant today for the first time. My wife had the 1/2 roasted chicken special for $7.00 and I had the sauteed chicken breast with shrimp & garlic lemon sauce for $7.95. Both lunches were great and the bread is wonderful. The prices were very reasonable, the portions were large and the service was courteous and friendly.
I would have given this restaurant 4 stars; however, the atmosphere needs to be improved. Maybe in the evening if they use tablecloths and subdued lighting it would be better but during the lunch hour it looked more like a diner than a nice restaurant which the name implies. Many of the lights were off even at the dining room bar (Note:they have a separate bar in another area of the restaurant). There are plain white walls with a few small framed prints but it lacks nice lighting, artwork and a warm welcoming feeling that one likes when dining out. We will definitely return but would probably not take friends with us until the atmosphere improves.

We went this past Friday. It was very busy, so it took a while to get serviced, they should have come sooner at least to order our drinks.

My Prime Rib was delicious. My husband liked his steak, a little disappointed on scallops he said. Will definitely visit again.

Dined at this restaurant over the weekend we will never go back! The food was awful, steak tasted like it had been boiled, we are not sure how the baby back ribs were prepared, maybe microwaved, sides tasted like they came from a can, not worth the time and money!

I knew I was in trouble when they didn't even ask how I wanted my steak cooked. It came out and looked like it had been boiled. Dry tough and grey. Watery chicken marsala, overdone shrimp and lousy service. But the bread was good. That's why I didn't mark it as poor.

We want for dinner the other night. The prime rib was so over done. We explained to the waiter hubby wanted medium rare - he took it back and when it returned it was MORE OVERDONE. The seafood casserole was tasteless.

Will not go again. Shame with the name they have it would not be better.

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful lunch today at The Prime Rib and Seafood House. We were a party of six and were celebrating my husband's 80th birthday. The food was excellent and service very good. We all agreed that there would be return trips. Good variety of foods on the menu , very reasonable prices, clean attractive surroundings and large servings. The Seafood Platter is delicious as is the Chicken Marsala. We all gave it a rating of excellent.
